Introduction
We are holding a Hector busy week on 10th – 14th Feb, 2025. It will be held at the University of Sydney. The main points of focus for the meeting will be:
- Discussion on metric for best cube for repeated observations of the same galaxy. Plus planning on combining multiple cubes.
- Science with HI – now DINGO has data in G23.
- Check in on who is targeting the highest priority science with the new Hector data release.
- Completion of the Hector DR and Hector main papers ready to submit to PASA.
- Strategy discussion on prioritisation of targets, opening up new fields, strategies for getting z’s ahead. Science justifications of completeness levels.
- Progress update on key parameter measurements needed by the team: MGE multicomponent fitting bulge-disk , basic kinematic parameters etc.
- TS discussion on Hector catalogue release.
- Simulations: get Sims WG engaged.
- Discussion on keeping the Hector DC cloud storage well structured, and clean, plus discussion on what will be stored on Andromache vs DC cloud.
